What inspired me to start a Blog?
I wanted to connect with people to create and share ideas through social media and my website when I saw how progressive Pinterest was, I thought the site was very capable and appeared to be a “fast moving site”, which is still relatively new and upcoming. In a generation where we have mobile phones and other devices, viewing content visually through images and videos seems to be the most appealing way to capture an audience. Platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and Snapchat have excelled in their success rate and blogging has become more desired and popular amongst many individuals and businesses.
According to Forbes, they estimate that 4.9 billion people use social media across the world! This number is expected to increase to 5.85 billion users by 2027, this is why if you’re wanting to create your own blog, now would be a great time as the popularity of blogging is rising.

Promotion is something we see daily, demonstrated by what we call Influencers across all of the platforms mentioned above and many other useful platforms.

After the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020, social media and website creation has evolved significantly, I have seen many people on the same wave of social media promotion with blogs and it has made me very intrigued and also motivated to begin my own journey to try and create success within the industry.
Making money from blogging
Before you throw yourself into it, you’re probably interested in knowing how much you can make from a blog. Unfortunately, that’s an almost impossible question. In theory, there’s no real limit to how much money a blog can bring in. The more people visiting your blog, the more money you can make.
Some bloggers are happy to make a few hundred pounds per month just by spending a few hours per week writing. Others can make tens of thousands per month. That’s not the norm, but it’s certainly possible.
If you put the time in and are willing to be patient, there’s no reason you can’t make well over £1,000 per month.
Blogging is a form of access to many aspects of online marketing and making a profit from your content. There are many different methods, see below.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is when you earn a commission for promoting another company’s product or service. Affiliates promote on behalf of a merchant, with the ultimate goal of driving traffic and conversions for the merchant’s website. For every click or conversion earned, the affiliate is paid by the merchant, this is proven to be a highly successful way of marketing and promoting.

Displaying Adverts Within Your Website
Displaying adverts within your website is an effective way to earn revenue whereby, you are paid on a pay-per-view (PPV) and pay-per-click (PPC) basis, which can be quite lucrative depending on the size of audience.
Sponsored Content
Influencing is one of the biggest money-makers in this day and age. Once you reach a high level of followers and have growing interest on your platform, you may find companies propose for you to promote their products or services within your social media and website, with this they usually provide you with their product/s or service/s free of charge or at a discounted rate, this allows the promoter to gain better knowledge and develop a personal opinion.

Definition of a Blog
So, what is a blog? the word blog originated from the words “web” and “log.” At their inception, blogs are basically an online diary where people keep a log about their daily lives on the web. They have since morphed into an essential forum for individuals and businesses, in fact, many people even make money blogging as professional full-time bloggers.
As the publishing world has evolved, more of it has moved online, blogs have come to occupy a significant portion in the digital world. Blogs are a source of knowledge, opinion and advice. While not yet posed to replace journalism as an art form, people increasingly look to trusted blogs to find answers to their questions, or to learn and be inspired on how to do something.
Blogs are forever evolving, in terms of how they’re created and what people use them for. They can be a well crafted machine for creativity and marketing.
